In the catalogue of an exhibit called “The Symbolist Vision”* I found the following: “Symbolists are visionaries who reveal alternate realities and seek out the inner mystique otherwise obscured by the mundane.” They draw on dreams, death and the after life, human sexuality and mythology to validate the symbolist vision. This description, written by show curators Kashey and Wojciechowski, strikes home as a close description of this particular series of my work
*“The Symbolist Vision” was on view at Shepard W&K Galleries in New York, NY, through 4/20/19.

Pandemic
The pandemic has weighed heavy on most of us for an entire year. We have become exhausted and no matter how hard we try to dig out from under, our efforts still seem to be of no avail.

In this era of coronavirus, we miss the touch of our fellow human beings maybe most of all.
